First night sleeping in truck

Well we got a load yesterday. It took us all of 75 miles and for some damn reson my trainer wanted to get her 14 hours early for delivery. So therre I was sleeping in top bunk with the optimized idle on. Optimized ideal works like this you set the desired temperature in truck turn it on and it will turn the truckon and off to try and maintain that temperature, the other reason it turns the truck on is to charge the batteries. The sleep was aweful its shacking every time it does either. There is most likely a bad battery in the truck (it has 4 of them) so most of the times it turned on was to charge batteries!!! Also we were parked at a closed warehouse. Making useing the bathroom a Challenge!!! And I had to walk a half mile to get coffee this morning!!!!

The road ahead

Sky- well the time has come to go out on the road with the trainer for 28 grulling days, away from each other. My trainer arrived yesterday. I packed all my stuff in his truck, his name is john and we waited for a load. For 9 hours and no load came. so last night around 9 pm he dropped me off back at the budged inn and me and Brian stayed in the room one more night. As for Brian he is still awaiting his trainers arrival.
the internet has been a big pain in the balls here still. I have recorded 3 videos but am unable to upload them to you tube do to internet speed.
i will update blog later if i do get a load out today!!

An update

Sky-2 and a half days with nothing to do...........
Well we passed the permit test, we passed the cdl test, and yesterday we passed the pre-employment road test for CRST. now we have the rest of yesterday all day today and tomorrow. And with a little bit of a cash, we can not like some of the other people we are training with rent a car and drive around town.
as for the CRST pre-employment road test if you passed the DOT CDL test. this will make you laugh. it is turn right, turn right, and pull over and you pass. the guy that gave us our test was ummm a truck driver that said he had 13 years experience I would thing it might be just driving alone on a old dust road. watched him drive and he never looked out the mirrors!!
so now we just sit here till monday morning at 7am then all day orintaion.........
will write more then.

Sleeping in "dorm" is hell

This place is a waste of money for 2 people. If I wanted to live in prison I would have done a crime..... this place is exactly like a homeless shelter......if you have the money stay at a place close by but on campus!!!!  We are going to go to stay at a motel down the street. For a 100 $ less per week and we do not have to sleep in seprate beds or rooms like here ..... and away from all the drama!!!!

Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to say,"Welcome Everyone!!!" I am equally as excited to begin this fantastic journey with my sweetheart!! We are about to complete the liquidation of our belongings and make the necessary preparations for our departure on the 26th. We still have my '97 Lumina to sell ((2000.00) and much of our furniture, but we are confident that all will work out in time. Please feel free to e-mail me at any time with questions: hippokid69@gmail.com Brian-co-author

This is our very first video and blog entry This will be the place for detailed daily updates from our biggest adventure ever. Previously Sky blogged at skykid2.blogspot.com and this is Brian's first blog. We are a married gay couple. We were married July 25th 2010 in Washington dc. From about the time we got married we started to talk of this, it was merely a dream..... over the fall we decided to make it a reality and put in to motion the necessary parts to the plan to actions. we decided on a ball park date. Our lease was up on April first. After that we decided that it would be to expensive to maintain a residence and be out on the road for 28 days at a time. We then decided we were only going to rent a small temperature controlled storage filled with only non-furniture and sell off every thing else.
last week - we sold Sky's car and tagged in our mind what all we were keeping. rented a storage facility,
this week- we began selling most everything on Craigslist.org it is very easy and free to do.
next week- going away party!!! yippie  we will blog much more as the time gets closer!!
thanks Sky and Brian
